South West's largest hot tub showroom makes waves in Torbay

The largest hot tub and swim spa showroom in the South West is set to open on the outskirts of Torbay after Hydropool Devon announced its expansion to a new site on Oak Tree Business Park in Kingskerswell.

The Torbay family-run retailer of hot tubs and swim spas plans to open the new showroom with a special weekend event on September 27.

The new facility, which will be the largest of its kind regionally, reflects the growth of a business that started from humble beginnings in Torbay. 

Founders David and Eloise Hayes started their journey almost 20 years ago with Riviera Decking, a decking company that became part of the Hayes Wellness umbrella. As demand from decking clients grew for hot tubs, David and Eloise expanded their offerings, eventually partnering with Hydropool to provide premium hot tubs and swim spas. 

Their success has been marked by numerous industry awards, including the title of Hot Tub Showroom of the Year at the 2023 BISHTA British Pool & Hot Tub Awards, as well as 16 other awards for their hot tub and swim spa projects from a possible 37 at that awards ceremony.

The new showroom will showcase 20 hot tubs and swim spas, and become the region’s only wet-testing facility for multiple swim spa models, allowing customers to experience different products in real conditions before purchasing. 

In addition to hot tubs and swim spas, the showroom will also offer Tylö saunas and infrared saunas, steam rooms, pergolas, and bespoke timber cabins.

Hydropool Devon's move is not just an expansion of premises, but a commitment to the local area. David and Eloise, who grew up in Brixham and have deep roots in Torbay, believe in the region’s potential beyond its reputation as a seasonal tourist destination. 

Eloise Hayes commented: "We’ve chosen to grow our business in the Torbay area because we believe in the community’s future. We want to show that with hard work and dedication, it’s possible to achieve success right here at home."

The expansion is expected to create new future job opportunities, contributing to the local economy as the business continues to grow. 

The new showroom will also serve as the base for Riviera Decking and Hayes Timber Buildings, sister companies under the Hayes Wellness umbrella, which offer bespoke timber structures and cabins. A new timber cabin model will be on display on the premises to inspire visitors' home improvement projects.

The opening weekend from September 27th to 29th will include special offers and factory sale items, providing an exciting opportunity for locals and visitors to explore the latest in wellness products.
